Reserve Chardonnay
Wine
Bream Creek Reserve Chardonnay is grown overlooking the Tasman Sea on Tasmania's east coast. The maritime influence and gentle slope provide optimal ripening conditions for Chardonnay.
The grapes are generally whole bunch pressed. A small amount of skin contact creates balance and structure.
The wine matures for around eight months in a combination of new and seasoned French oak. Partial malolactic fermentation and lees stirring contribute texture.
Only the finest barrels are bottled under the Reserve label. In some vintages, if the quality is not up to par, no Reserve Chardonnay is released.
Deep yellow, Bream Creek Reserve Chardonnay has citrus, stone fruit and spicy oak flavours balanced by a crisp acidity. Cellaring potential is five years.
